Food during pregnancy

The average weight gain during pregnancy is 8 to 10 kgs.Women who eat well and gain the appropriate amount of weight are more likely to have healthy babies.Exercise(walking),hearing music etc are good
 during pregnancy.

What to eat during pregnancy?

1) Milk & dairy  products(especially yogurt)
2)Cereals,whole grains,daals,pulses & nuts
3)Vegetables & fruits
4)Meat,fish & poultry
5)Fluids
6)Leafy vegetables
7)Eggs
8)Flax seeds(contains Omega-3 ,a powerful brain booster for babies),oats & museli
9)Fishes like salmon,sardine,tuna contains Omega-3 fatty acids

What to avoid during pregnancy?

1)Unpasteurised milk
2)Raw or under cooked meat,poultry,seafood or eggs
3)Alcoholic drinks
4)Fish containing higher  levels of mercury like king mackerel,shark,orange roughy ,tile fish or sword fish(I think consuming very limited quantity is ok)
5)Cut down on caffeine(coffee,tea,cola etc) and junk food
6)Avoid food containing ajinomoto
